Save Your Money, Get Free Stuff Online!
FREE STUFF. Is there anything better? Growing up, I (Megan) used to spend Easter vacation in Cocoa Beach, FL with my grandparents. Ron Jon Surf Shop always hosts an Easter Surf Fest where tons of vendors/sponsors set up booths with LOTS of free stuff. I once got a free Roxy beach tote that retails at $60. FREE STUFF IS THE BEST. Here are some of our favorite sites/apps to get free things and cash.
If you’re really into social media, try Influenster. You connect all your social media accounts and based on the amount of friends or followers you have, you get a certain score. Then you go through and review products which can range from beauty to food to tech products all which add points to your account. Once you’ve reach a certain level, they will send you free thing to try out! Be careful, for certain platforms they request permission to post to your account, but you can always change your settings for those posts.
On PinchMe, you sign up and complete a long questionnaire about yourself. Those answers determine what types of products you’re eligible to receive. They tend to be more home-based products like cleaners, diapers, and pet foods, and they do take a while to send out. They also have deals listed with certain brands for coupons or free samples. I’m personally not eligible for much on PinchMe, but if you’re married, have children, or lots of pets, this is a great resource.
If you’re someone who loves going to movies, but hates paying the ticket prices, look into GoFoBo. They give out passes to advance screenings across the US. Studios often host screenings because they help create buzz of the film on social media from people who attend. There’s not always screenings happening, but it’s good to monitor. Right now, they’re hosting screenings for Deadpool, Kung-Fu Panda 3, and more!
Yep, you read that right. Our favorite box store Target has a free sample section online. You go online, select the sample you want, answer some questions, and if you’re eligible, they send it to you! Pretty easy. Samples go quick, so you’ll want to check back often for new ones.
This is an app that pays you to take surveys. It pays you through PayPal, and you get paid once your balance reaches $10. The surveys are super easy, but somewhat rare. Still, I (Megan) have earned $30 so far using this. Even if you don’t qualify for a survey, they give you $0.10. I often get a lot of radio surveys that pay between $5-10.
Can’t get what you want for free? That’s okay. Use Ebates to buy that stuff, and you’ll get cash back! Dozens of stores/websites are on here, and all you have to do is click through their link on the Ebates site and you can get anywhere from 1-50% cash back.
If you go rogue and start googling for free samples, be very careful. You should never give out any credit card or bank information no matter what they say. Never send money or personal information to any person or company to receive any samples or prizes. This may seem like common sense, but after reading through forums, some people do it anyway. You can enter in any site to SiteJabber to read reviews from actual people. I researched a site called WomanFreebies and they have a rating of 17% and reviews that said they were told they had to wire money to receive samples or prizes. NOPE! Be smart, be safe!
